We were once again pleased to support organisers Paul Thorley (‘Mr Yummy’) and Mark Henry for a special Chinese New Year celebratory Supper Club, held at the Sir Max Aitken Museum in Cowes. An event featuring themed décor and a five‑course Chinese‑inspired menu created and executed by acclaimed Chef Paul and hosted by Mark with his trademark warmth and energy, whilst Nancy Thorley curated the room and dining table to bring the theme and spirit of the night beautifully together.
A fabulous raffle added to the excitement, helping boost the fundraising total to £4,500 for the Youth Trust, which empowers young people to face life’s challenges by providing youth-led wellbeing and therapeutic support to those who need it.
Paul Thorley commenting: “Fundraising in 2026 is tougher than ever, which is why our Charity Supper Clubs matter so much. These evenings bring people and charities together over good food, good conversation and real generosity. Thanks to our guests, sponsors and incredible volunteers, we’ve now raised over £30,000 for Isle of Wight charities – and we’re excited to keep building on that at our next event.”
The Youth Trust extends its deepest thanks to Paul, Mark, and their entire team, whose passion, generosity and hard work made the evening such a success. The event received strong support from the Island’s business community, with Jonathan Thornton, PC Consultants CEO serving guests on the night in addition to sponsoring the event alongside Vehicle Consulting – Solent, Island FX Ltd, The Garlic Farm, Nunwell Home Farm and Hinton Group UK, whose contributions helped maximise the impact of the night.
