Backing for young footballers with Oakfield FC U13 sponsorship

PC Consultants has once again reflected its commitment to support young people leading active lifestyles and making healthy choices through its recent sponsorship of Oakfield FC’s U13 Phoenix team.

Oakfield FC runs mixed teams from U7 to U16, all competing in the Isle of Wight Sunday Youth League. The Phoenix squad has 13 players and currently plays 9-a-side, moving up to 11-a-side next season when the group reaches U14 level. Whilst many of the players come from Ryde, others travel from Newport and Cowes to join the team.

Emma Ashwell of Oakfield FC commented “The sponsorship from PC Consultants means the squad is kitted out for the season meaning club funds can then be used towards keeping the pitches maintained and marked out, referees can be paid for in the more competitive age groups and equipment can be bought helping with development. We are proud to be able to wear the kits with the sponsors details on. As a club we do travel off the Island as well as Island wide, so we are able to offer visibility for the sponsor on a wider scale. The club is based in the heart of the Oakfield community.”

The talent of Oakfield Youth teams and coaching staff is reflected in an outstanding season last year. Winning the Wight Cup, taking the Havant and Waterlooville tournament in addition to the Beach Fest tournament, and finishing as runners-up in the Isle of Wight U12 league.

The U13 team is managed by Ross Hammond, who is also chairman of Oakfield FC and widely recognised for his commitment to grassroots football and to giving local children the chance to play, develop and enjoy the game.

Sponsorship of Oakfield FC’s U13 Phoenix team adds to PC Consultants ongoing support of youth sport and activities which also includes the Islands’ Basketball League, Newport Rowing Club and UKSA’s Test the Water Programme.
